Primavera Risk Analysis: Liquidated Damage (cost impact) or Recovery Plan (cost/sched impact) ?

Hi,

after several days self-training on Primavera Risk Analysis, I still can't simulate the following sequence:

-during an iteration, the activity duration is above its deterministic duration, pushing the succeeding milestone in delay.

- in that case, I would like to impact on PRA the schedule and costs in accordance with these 2 scenarios (previously chosen before starting the simulation, I mean only 1 scenario will apply during all iterations):

   > SCENARIO 1 (RECOVERY PLAN, MILESTONE NOT IN DELAY) : more resources put in a certain durat

Multiple calendars import from .xer

Situation: 4 calendars - Office 5 8s, Field 6 10s, Construction 5 10s and Elapsed Time 24/7.  How do I get PRA to properly import the durations developed in P6 8.2 by day?  Finding it difficult to think in terms of hours for a 2-3 year project.  Any thoughts appreciated.  Thanks.

Difference between Pertmaster & Primavera Risk Analysis

J
John Kelly 👤 Member for 14 years 10 months

HI,

As the subject suggests i'm keen to find out if there is any difference in use/functionality etc between Pertmaster and Primavera Risk Analysis.  I have used Pertmaster briefly in the past on P3 programmes but i may need to use Primavera risk Analysis which is within P6 (under the Tools menu) in the near future, are there any differences in these??

Thanks in advance for any help.

S
SM PUM 👤 Member for 14 years 6 months

Hi All.

I am Really happy to be with you here on Planning Planet.I am finding it very helpful indeed.Thaks to all of you for contributing and sharing the knowledge.

My Questions are about Primavera Risk Analysis.

Q#1. I need to know the Basis that how the Risk Impact (Low,Medium,High,Very High etc.) . For example if you have a project of say,12 Months, and a Risk is Impacting the Project by say,1 month, then how it is evaluated that this risk belongs to,low,Medium,High or very High Impact category??

Posting P6 8.1 EPPM data to PRA 8.7.2

Does anyone have experience moving data from P6 8.1 EPPM (web) to PRA 8.7.2?  Currently with P6 8.1 Pro (standalone), it is a fairly trivial exercise to send P6 data to PRA via the TOOLS link.  I am wondering if the same link/mechanism exists in P6 8.1 EPPM.  I have no experience with any version of P6 EPPM, so any insights are appreciated.  Thanks.
