Hello,
I'm looking to build a benchmarking template for Engineering Services ( DBM/ FEED and Detailed Engineering) for Oil and Gas projects. Does anyone have suggestions on a good temaplate or something I can reference too?
The data I have to work with:
1) Baseline Estimate on deliverables
2) Actual Costs at a control account level ( multiple deliverable rolled up into one account).
3 types of sponsors
A person acting in the role of the sponsor may take different approaches to fulfilling his role and present different attitudes and behaviours. The table below will help you determine what type of sponsor you are and take appropriate steps "on the road to self-improvement".
Don't know if I'm in the right topic but I'm a student and I would like to have more info about what is like the project management job.
Was reading an article and since I don't have enough knowledge you can maybe add your insights to what it is said there or if you don't agree with some points. It will be very helpful :)
Here is the article : http://thinkthyme.com/project-management/how-to-become-a-project-manager
Thank you
Hello Everyone,
Just a doubt as some people refer Project Control as the Person who can manage Planning, Scheduleing, Cost, Claim and Technical parts of a Project.
I am in a doubt does a Project Control personnel should be Technically very knowlegable means just like a Engineering manager or the Senior Techhnical Engineer.
Does the Payscale of a Project Control Engineer always less than a Technical Enginerr (Civil, Electrical,Instrumentation,Mechanical Engineer).

Hi,
If you are a project manager, I would be grateful if you would take the time to follow the link below and fill in a short questionnaire concerning project management priorities when a project is in distress.
This is for academic research purposes only. It takes the form of three questions where you are asked to rank twelve factors and priorities in order of importance.
If you have any issues or questions, please reply to this thread and I will post a reply as soon as possible.
Thank you.
