Calendar Question - Productive Time Per day

Hi,

We have a planned shutdown in 2018 and our max amount of resources will be ~50.  We will have a day and night shift but there will be a different amount of direct labour per shift.  The ratio maybe 30 direct on days and 20 on nights.  I will be assuming 9 productive hours per shift.  And now for my question.  Because I have an uneven amount of labour per shift, will my calendar be 18 hours productive out of 24? Should I be using a lesser productivity during the night?

Calendar Issue

I am facing a problem while assigning the calendar to activities. Actual I assign a calendar of 12 hours per day working but P6 pick up 11 hours per day and in the next day working should be start at 6:00AM but it is going to start on 14:00 PM why it’s all happening I don’t know.

Hello Everyone!!

 

Thanks to everyone for helping by having discussion on various topics.

I believe that this is the best site for the beginners and experts to learn many new things.

In one of my project plan, after entering all the activities, I started applying duration to activities. While adding duration I observe that, when ever an activity is having 1d duration it's sequence is not changing and whenever I am adding a duration of more than 1d, activity sequence is getting automatically changed.

How to Sort the different levels of a Layout Group by an activity code

Hello!!

 

I need your help here. The issue is that I have defined a Layout with my activities group by an Activity Code called Location. So my activities now are shown group by the location they are assigned. Now I would like to sort all this different locations by their finis date, because right know are sort by the way the Activities code Values are difined in my Activity code.

 

I do not know how to do it,please could anybody help me with that??
