Hi All,
I want to learn that how to put resources and its tracking in MS Project. I have just learnt to prepare and update the Project Schedule and its activities in MS Project. But i am not confident in Resource Planning.
Can anyone help me for that ? If any one has some examples in Building Construction program, please do share some examples or files.

I have been using P6 for some time but really have been only doing the basic inputting and updating. I'm looking for a tutor within London on a weekly basis to take me through the following:-
Starting to build a programme from scratch including resources and cost loading. Then from there be able to print out spread sheets, histogramse cost and S curves. Finally been shown how to produce reports on a weekly or monthly bases on costs, resources and the projected total cost...

I recently broadcast my first webinar on the topic of "Bottom Up Planning for Builders".
It consisted of a live demonstration of a level 4 programme for:
1. An eight story insitu structure.
2. The MEP carcassing installation
3. A 50km pipeline.
Each one in less than 15 minutes from a blank screen.
I would like to know if there is an interest for such training webinars within the PP comunity.
If so I will work to set them up.

anybody can help with a manual for the planning work related to MEP and civil activities?
My company currently use microsoft project for all its schedules except for the situation where client requires P6. There is a debate going on right now whether to transition into Primavera or stay with Microsoft. People are hesitant to move to Primavera because they arent familiar with the software and they are very comfortable using Microsoft Project. They have been hiring consultant to do their primavera scheduling for them and its costly and not very effective. My boss has tasked me with finding the pros and cons of using Primavera rather than Ms Project. He is Pro-Primavera.
