Will having SS & FF ties in addition to a FS tie cause inaccurate measurement of float?

J
John Reeves 👤 Member for 13 years 1 month

Will having SS & FF ties in addition to a FS tie cause inaccurate measurement of float?  If you hit the tie button multiple times it adds those.  Because the FS tie will always make the longest path wouldn't the SS FF float not effect the float calc number because only the driving relationship would?  The only time it might make a difference might be in large schedules where progess happens out of order and in those cases that logic is more applicable, basically a safety net.  I normally don't clean them out because it is a waste of time but someone suggested

Roll Up Performance % Complete

E
Emma Lang 👤 Member for 9 years 10 months

I have some activities with zero resources against them. Basically a manufacture line, which I put a % complete against. I would like this to roll up to the summary level.

Is this possible to do in P6? I've tried changing the % complete type. even using a dummy resource. But it doesn't seem to roll up.

Any suggestions?

Export into Excel - 'BL Project Physical % Complete'

L
Larry Cahn 👤 Member for 8 years 6 months

Hello all - My layout has the column 'BL Project Physical % Complete', however it appears P6 won't allow me to export this column as it doesn't show up as an option in the columns when exporting. With our reporting it would be very useful to show the previous/baseline physical % complete compared to the current physical % complete.

Does anyone know how to export the 'BL Project Physical % Complete' column into excel?

Thanks ahead of time.
