In Primavera P6 version 8.2, for only some of my projects, when I change the "rate type" for the resources assigned to the project, P6 assigns actual costs to the activities, even though I have shut off every instance I can find of the "Auto Compute Actuals" option, and I have shut off the "Recalculate Actual Units and Cost when duration % complete changes" option for the project.

I Have problem after importing project to primavera p6 17.7 , everything is ok except the resources names become and appear in a starnge symbols, tried to change fonts from table font and row option , but no changes, Also changed the windows 10 language and region to match the resource name language but still fixing.

Need some help. Can we Export Activity to Excel and then populate the resorce in it and import it back to P6. And that too if the same activity has multiple resource like,
Activity - Foundation for Tank
Resource:
Steel Fixer - 40 Hrs
Carpenter - 16 Hrs
Mason - 16 Hrs
Labor - 112 Hrs
While updating progress of my Project schedule, I am getting some values of unit% complete and physical % complete against certain value of schedule % complete, with each scheduling BUT..
why I am not getting performance % complete? Performance % complete is always zero which I am not expecting.
My duration type is Fixed duration and unit per time.
% complete type is duration.
Resources have certain prices and values.
Any help please ?
I have a resource loaded project, and I would like to examine this project's resource allocation in P6 EPPM 18.8 Team Usage. But every time I select the Team Usage tab I get the below message:
Information: One or more projects are not published. Publish project to view data.
In addition to this message I find I cannot view any resource allocation data in this schedule, so soimething is wrong. The project I want to inspect is already published, so I'm not sure why I keep getting this message.
I have 24 different equipment (3 columns, 10 exchanger, 11 drums) for maintenance. The date and Month of maintenance is not decided yet.
And Schedule should be in such a way that, once the Project start date is changed all the maintenance dates have to change accordingly.
All equipments can be started at the same day, but due to lack of manpower I have to create a proper sequence for maintenance in primavera.
Either by using constraint or by using relationships with lags.
What is the Standard Practice out of the following 3 for creating maintenance sequence ?

I am trying to install Primavera P6Rel7 on laptop with Windows10 Operating System.
I have installed MySQL Express but data is not connected.
Can anyone provide sequence of activities for connecting of database?

Hi everyone,
I was hoping someone could assist me in finding a good primavera course.
I am an advanced user of MS project, by an advanced user, I mean I know all about planning and scheduling best practices, I understand project controls concepts ie CPM, PERT, EVM etc. and I can use MS project with my eyes closed.
But, I am new to Primavera and I need to get my head around it very quickly and was wondering if anyone here can help as I can't really afford to waste any time at this stage.
