the client wrote there are many activities thathave only ss succesors(s).this is not good scheduling practice and should preferably be avoided.
Is there any criteria that we want to use FS,FF,SS or SF in these we have to use fs more?

Example: Activity Original Duration 10 days
Tracking: Remaining duration 4 days
Schedule past 10 days
At complete 14 days
Why the % complete is 60% (related to original duraton) instead of 71% (10/14 10 days worked in a new total duration of 14 days)???

I Have a big issues, actually our activities' duration in the P6 under network is changed when we import our subcontractors updated time schedule.
The funny point is that the file in the P6 stand alone doesn't have any problems and all durations are correct, that's why, we must import our subcontractor's updated time schedule in the standalone version.
the calendar assumption for both are:
1- 7 working days with 10 hours per day working
2- Admin Preference sets for 8 hours per day

When i update my P6 Schedule original Duration is getting Revised accordingly to Expected Finish date given.May i know what is the reason behind to get Revised.

I have an Engineering design schedule where one of my resources is 100% allocated to the project. We have loaded his hours on his design activities however when he is not busy on specific design deliverables the remainder of his time is dedicated to supervising others and various other admin tasks. My problem is the flexible nature of these "Admin" hours. In a busy month he is unlikely to do much but yet with the uniform spread of any admin hours I add it can show him as overallocated in some months and underallocated in others.

i have an issue when importing resource assignments, if i export an excel file with activities and resource assignment data and adjust the budgeted labour units ln the TASKRSRC tab and then import the excel file the units in p6 will be modified and it works fine. alternatively if i create my own excel file, (not modifying one that has been exported) instead of it modifying the budgeted units it creates an additional resource assignment to the activity and the existing assignment remains the same.
would appreciate any help on this, thanks

We have recently been experiencing a large number of completely spurious RISKTYPE categories being passed around between ourselves and the organisations that we regularly exchange programmes with.
The RISKTYPE data seems totally spurious, with random characters / nonsensical text, and it seems system generated - in the sense that its not names that people have typed.
