Questions & answers for MS Project software
please can anyone tell me how to enter the standard rates/ overtime costs in INR istead of $ dollars.?
Hi group,
I have two concern that I want to ask for help;
1. I'm using MS project 2010, when I try choose to highlights all the tasks that are 100% complete, it's seem not all has been highlighted. There are still items that don't have highlights eventhough it's already mark as 100% complete. Is it flaw of MS Project?
Hi Expert
I had ceated a schedule in MSP 2007 , In that i have set baseline, Baseline1, baseline2, baseline3. after some time my MSP 2007 has been updated with MSP 2010. In 2010 it shows that baseline has set (0,1,2,3) om different dates. but when i enter the colum of baseline it shoe base line date. but when i entered Baseline1, baseline2, baseline3 it shows NA in each activity. Please guide me how can i get the Baseline1, baseline2, baseline3 date.

Hi all planners,
I am using ms project-2007 for my scheduling works. I have created a schedule with work resource, cost resource and did save baseline. Now i want to change the values in actual cost column of cost resource based on the site progress but when i tried to do so, i got a problem. When i increase the value of actual cost more than that of baseline cost , the duration of the particular activity is also changing.
I increased the actual cost because of more wastage of materials in the particular activity. I didn't spend more manpower or duration.
Who's planning to go to the Microsoft Project Conference 2014? http://ow.ly/rGTF2
I have added some additional tasks, including completion milestones, into the programme. The dates in the date columns are correct, but a small number of the bars on the Gantt Chart have slammed back to 1984!
The file was originally 2007, I am working in 2010.
Its only a problem of presentation, but this is to be presented to people who technical grasp of planning is quite low.
Hello everyone,
This is my first post over here, and I have a question about S Curve (PV, EV & AC). Everything works out good on project 2010 when exporting the data to Excel, I even managed to customize the spreadsheets to my convinience, but there is only one issue about the Earned Value graphic, and its about the way project distributes earned value costs throughout the duration of tasks.
It appears that project assumes the Earned Value cost at the start of the task, no matter how the resource payment method is (at beginning, prorate, at completion).
hi ms project expert.
is there any option to assign a fixed amount of works and a duration to activities,
basically I have the amount of work for the activities from the estimation software, and I want the duration to be independant from the resource assignement is that possible in ms project ( something like fixed duration & units in P6).
regards
mimoune
ps
I am not trolling here, for some reason the client wants ms project and i have to live with it :(
I would like to create a column that has a dollar value multiply it by another column to give me a total in a third column
