Formula to calculate percent of unit to assing resources

Hi Everyone.

Although I have used project for a long time, I have always been difficult to allocate resources. In spring I use man hours and assign them in numbers and not in percentages. This has been my lesson with Project, when assigning by percentage.

Is there any way to calculate or transform the man hours that are taken for budget and to be able to convert it to percentage according to the amount of man hours that the activity requires?

I leave and excel sample data file

Predecessors column - Project 2016

The predecessor column has disappeared.  It is not hidden so I can't unhide it.  I went to More Tables but couldn't add it that way.  I rebooted my computer and did a repair on the program to no avail.  My boss wnats me to edit the schedule today but I can't without starting over.

Any ideas?

Setting up MS Project for an Engineering company

Hi all,

I am about to start a role at work where I will be required to set up a planning department using MS Project, specifically Project Online Professional.

My previous planning roles have been using P6 so I'm still getting up to speed with how MS Project works.

The company has multiple contracts, across multiple clients and would ultimately like to see the resoucing workload from a corporate level.

Therefore I'd like to set up MS Project like the following:

1. Corporate Level

2. Client Level

3. Asset/ Platform Level

4. Project Plans

Displaying Free Float and Total Float Gantt Chart Bars in Microsoft Project

Total Float is important because it specifies how many days a task can postpone without delaying the entire schedule. A lesser known, but helpful tool is free float, which tells how many days a task can postpone without delaying a successor task. Here's how to display Free Float and Total Float gantt chart bars in Microsoft Project http://ow.ly/BkGW309jQvG
