BIM/EIM Model D&E Information Schematic

Hi, has anybody got a pretty schematic showing the D&E interfaces between the 3D BIM Model LOD's as BS 19650, the Vendor information requirements (as set out in the PO's,  we used to have Stages A - G designations) and the 30% / 60% / 95% Design Reviews requirements. If it shows the HAZOP's as well even better.

Hello all.

My name is Sergey, and I'm a member of team which are developing new product for construction planning, scheduling and cost estimation. I'm glad to share with you our project on https://www.kreo.net/kreo-plan and discuss problems concerning scheduling automatisation using BIM. There are a lot of problems in our sphere such as

4D Planning for Turnarounds and Shutdowns

Hi there,

I am looking for details on 4D planning/BIM and progress control used for turnarounds (e.g. for refineries or processing plants). Those schedules are very detailed and big, often with many hundred pieces of equipement, piping etc. and thousands of activities.

Can anyone share experience about this toppic?

Or are there any case studies available?

Thank you all!

What Knowledge and Skills needed for BIM 4D

Hi All,

This question has already been asked before but I haven't been satisfactorily answered.

I'll start with a clarification/condition first as it might be helpfull in not receiving the same answer to the same question: I'm come from Primavera P6 scheduling background enforced by market conditions where P6 is specified in the contracts; Primavera P6 must be used as a scheduling/planning tool.

Having said that; I'm not quuiet clear exactly what the thread titles says:

Use of BIM for Planning Engineer

I am Planning Engineer, I am thinking of learning BIM but I am confused should I do it or not.

Many People tell me it is of use for a draughtsman job who wants to move up in his career. I have read on internet that it helps in finding contruction difficulties and good for project management and it can use used to make reports.

But I want to know how much is it of EXACT use of BIM ? and Will it be of advantage to me as planning engineer ?
