Can Asta withstand progress updates done on the different dates on the different tasks?

E

Dear all,

I am coming from Microsoft Project world (which a lot of people consider not a proper scheduling tool) and I am looking now for alternatives.

I have a discussion about Spider Project tool functionality on this forum.

Changing date zone

C
Christine P 👤 Member for 17 years 1 month

Hi

I am trying to print out my programme which has about 80 lines on it onto 1 x A3 landscape page.

I have two lines on my date area at the top of the chart - "Year" and "Months"

On the screen I can pull the tick marks so that only "J", "F", "M" etc is showing on the screen.  When I print it out, it rescales it and makes the month "Jan", "Feb", "Mar" etc appear.  Id like the columns on the chart thinner and the "Description", "Start", "Finish" etc wider if possible.

How can I do this please?

Print

I know that this is very simple to solve, but I am unable to find a solution.

When I create a new project, and go to print, the print button is faded out, and I cannot print. What I can do, is copy the project to another project and print that way. I have been throught he setting, and do not know what I have done wrong. Please help.

Thanks

Snapping time unit too big!

C
Craig Adams 👤 Member for 14 years 5 months

Hello Fellow Astarnians,

Anyone know how to make the snapping time unit default to 1 hour? Half day is the lowest I can see listed.

Hoping to use Asta for shutdown planning and scheduling where tasks are planned down to 20 minutes!

While I'm at it, selecting year / month / day is brilliant in the date selection, would be great if went next level - to hours, can I request for Asta wish list?

Yours in faithfull anticipation,

Craig Adams
