Design and Implement Group Medical Aid System. Responsible for coding, testing and operational support of significant portions of system, working with stakeholders to test and improve design, reports, and convert data from manual systems. Implemented completely new file management technology with this system.
Operating conditions at that time required detailed planning as computer facilities (for both development and production runs) were shared and needed to be scheduled and managed to achieve client deadlines. We also frequently needed to do basic forensic analysis to claim back computer resource allocations that were lost - we could only do this be establishing time wasted was not due to our own mistakes. This impacted our dept budgets and our users' budgets so was considered important.
