Research and Development Process Engineer, Puyat Flooring Products Incorporated, Production Process

Job Description:

Under the direct supervision of the Research and Development Technical Manager and is responsible for the establishment, documentation, implementation and monitoring of standard processing conditions and to adopt changes and improvement based on results of process capability studies and analysis made on processing parameters.

Primary Duties:

• Coordinates with the R&D analyst for handling Technical Service Request, Test run and Material Sampling in the production line and prepares reports of such tests.
• Coordinates with Engineering and Maintenance Department staff for the execution of experiments and new processing conditions of new formulations.
• Monitors, analyzes and recommends changes in processing conditions and initiates corrective action when an “out of control” condition exists.
• Initiates and coordinates the implementation of corrective action for process disruptions and to evaluate their effectiveness.
• Gives special instruction to the Laboratory Mill Operator and Technician in sampling new materials prior to feed on line.
• Monitors and maintains control charts of quality attributes and accurate record of processing conditions.
• Participates in process improvement activities to increase process capability and or process efficiency.
• Recommends changes in processing conditions and standard operating parameters.
• Analysis and evaluation of processing data for improvement and corrective action.
• Conducts laboratory and production line testing and prepare reports of such tests.
• Timely submission of required process study and investigation reports.
