Leading and managing a Project Controls Team of over 30 for a portfolio of 50+ full life cycle EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management) projects from pre-FEED to construction execution, commissioning and readiness for start-up. The team is dedicated to Shell projects run from their Qatar Project Hub in a brown field environment of the Pearl GTL (Gas to Liquids) plant.
Key achievements:
• Led project controls on behalf of EPCM for Qatar Shell, planning projects for success without risk to safety or quality.
• Detailed schedule and cost estimate development covering onshore and offshore scopes from pre-FEED, through detail design, execution commission & start-up, and multi-project execution during plant shutdowns.
• Monitored and mitigated against risks to schedule and costs, performing detailed schedule and cost risk analysis
• Captured cost variation trending while identifying and managing budget risks.
• Set-up claims controls and variation registers including potential claims, trending and Management of Change process.
• Managed additional project services including Information Management Systems and Document Management Systems
