Who am I?
I am 29 year old civil engineer from Finland and I'm looking for a new job.
Current position
I am currently engaged in the position of project engineer in OL3 Nuclear Power Plant project. (For more information of the project, please see http://www.OL3.fi) I have worked this project for over four years.
My current client is Teollisuuden Voima Oy, which is the Owner of the project under who my current tasks include:-
Time scheduling
- Analyzing and comparing the Suppliers schedules and making the Owners own risk estimates combined with drafting time schedules for the Owners own scope of works. I know the basic tools for scheduling (P6, MS Project) and analyzing.( EAV, Critical Path, Pert analyze, Cost Estimate, Labor and material estimates)
Contract administration
- Providing technical data & reports for lawyers regarding claims on the project; providing support and data to the quantity surveyors on change orders etc and administrating technical aspects within my sphere of work.
Quality control
- Supervising and controlling the quality of concrete structures.
Project control
- Defining infrastructures and managing the Owners own scope of works.
Desired position
As a young engineer, I'm looking for further challenges and opportunities to both to add to my skills and to experience new ones. I always work very hard, and believe that I add assets to my Employer's business. I enjoy challenge and resolution of problems met with on projects by applying a mix of wits and professional intellect. I have a feeling that I am outgrowning my current position, hence I'm looking for new possibilities and challenges in my career.
