The opportunity presented is very interesting and I believe have a strong skill set to match the requirements.
I am an MBA with over 30 years civil construction experience, including 20 years on Civil engineering infrastructure projects including the Channel Tunnel and the Channel Tunnel Rail Link. I have held Project Controls Manager positions within Railtrack, NetworkRail, Project Representative Team for the Department for Transport on the construction of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link and other major contractors. I am currently engaged as a consultant advising a multinational engineering company of High Speed tender bids.
Over the years I have experienced the challenges of working on multi £b projects including some of the biggest projects in Europe operating on both the contractor and client perspectives. Commencing as a QS on the Channel Tunnel I moved into a cost function and finally Programme and Project Controls completing a law degree and MBA along the way. I have managed, compiled, prepared and presented projects to numerous parties including sponsor banks, parliamentary accounts committees and various clients.
