Position: Head of Project Controls – Major Projects                            Date Oct 2010 to date

  • Design/Delivery of a robust project controls/programming/reporting process throughout all aspects of SSE’s capital projects (circa £40bn): Corporate/Thermal/Renewables (on/offshore) /Transmission/IT/Infrastructure & Smart Metering.
  • Overall responsibility for establishing and maintaining a SSE project management office of systems and tools which will help deliver project pipeline cost and schedule compliance (Annual Capex £1.5bn)
  • Establishing and maintaining processes procedures to ensure the production and maintenance of accurate project delivery plans and detailed schedules
  • Establishing and maintaining processes  to analyse schedule and cost data, identify key portfolio/project issues and interpreting this information for the SSE Board
  • Responsible for the service delivery of all project controls staff (40+).
