I am applying for the position of Planning Position - from the Planning Planet website. Please find attached my CV.
I am looking to bring my well honed planning skills to your client's projects. Pertinent experience and skills for positions include:
- Strategic thinking - Project setup and scoping. I have been involved in feasibility studies for about 2 years and have set up schedules from scratch and taken them through to closeout.
- Logistics - I have planned, coordinated and executed 4 shutdowns and numerous mini-shuts successfully. I have planned execution of 6 Brownfield projects.
- Tools of the trade - One of my strongest points is my software skills. I have created costing and timekeeping, punchlisting, committed cost on inventory (still working 9 years after I left), document control and labelling databases.
- Quality/ Creativity - I set up functional/ robust reporting systems with emphasis on accountability and actions. Reports need to be very concise, but paint the full picture.
- Change Management - One of the most important facets of project controls. I have experience raising and reporting trends and change notices upwards. I am also conversant with managing change contractually.
- Interpersonal skills - I am self motivated and believe in leading by example.
My family and I would like to broaden our horizons with an international assignment.
