The role was predominantly associated with planning and monitoring operational projects, with some minor assistance given to the tender/estimating department.

Initially, I was responsible for all contracts within the Eastern Province region, covering approximately one third of the Kingdom and including the ARAMCO and other petro-chemical industries in the Gulf region.  My responsibility then expanded to cover the whole Kingdom as contracts were sought further away from the Eastern Province.

My department at Head Office consisted of 4 cost engineer and schedulers.  I was also responsible for 5 cost engineers/schedulers based on site, which were visited by me regularly.
