Approximately twelve years of professional experience in the Railway Industry specialising in railway upgrade and maintenance projects. I am degree qualified (Bachelors in Science : Industrial Engineering) and registered as a Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council in South Africa.
The relevant experience includes:
Approximately a total of 8 years planning experience in various roles as an engineer (South Africa) and a planner (United Kingdom).
Five and a half years as a Project Planner in London Underground and Tube Lines responsible for analysing, developing and updating the Signalling Line Upgrade programmes and Earned Value reports. Also responsible for writing progress reports and providing general and commercial support to the project manager on an ad hoc basis.
Approximately 18 months as a Regional Engineering Manager for the Isando East region, South Africa. Responsibilities included managing all resources required for the planning and execution of perway, signalling and electrical maintenance and refurbishment projects in the region.
Approximately three years as a Planning Engineer undertaking a wide range of projects for the Regional Engineering Managers. Responsibilities included the co-ordination and planning of various projects in support of national maintenance and refurbishment projects (in South Africa).
