  1. I obtained my B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the University of the West Indies, St Augustine Trinidad in 1985.
  2. Previously, I working with Khansaheb Civil Engineering in Dubai on the Al Furjan Development in Jebel Ali (AED900Million) until August 2012. The project involves the development of a development of a residential / industrial estate. We are currently in Phase 1 – Infrastructure Works. I am responsible for the management of the Project Planning and monitoring department. I also am directly responsible for the preparation of Claim Evaluation Schedules etc. Previously I was with E. PIHL & SØN A.S.on the execution of Northern Coastal Highway Improvement Project, Segment 3, Jamaica (US$90 Million) in the capacity of Planning Engineer. The project involves updating the existing road, which runs from Ocho Rios to Port Antonio on the northern coast of Jamaica (Approx 100 km). This project is expected to be complete by early 2009. Prior to this appointment, I was employed with Turner International managing the construction of the Government Campus Plaza on Richmond Street, Port of Spain, Trinidad (US$400Million). The approximately 1.6 million sq. ft. complex includes 2# 11-story Buildings, 2# 23-story Towers and a six story Car Park housing a central plant to service the entire complex.
  3. I am a well experienced (over 25 years) and degree qualified Construction / Project Manager with a sound knowledge of Civil Construction, Design and Planning
  4. Over the past years I have done extensive work on Construction Scheduling for civil, building and industrial facilities. I am versed in the use of MS Projects and Primavera P3/P5/P6. My management duties usually involved actual progress updating, projected completion analysis and cost control & projections
  5. With Turner International in Trinidad, we were responsible for the management of the design and construction of 5 structures. Each package was given to different contractors. My responsibility, in addition to the direct management of one of the towers, was to plan and co-ordinate the interface between design requirements and other projects deliverables e.g. The Chilled water, electrical services for the buildings were separate packages and interlinking was crucial to the successful completion of the project.
  6. As with all my project plans, I develop comprehensive Critical Path Networks and Critical chain of events which are continuously updated using actual progress. With each update I generally do a recovery schedule, modifying sequences and resources to achieve stated goals.
  7. In the preparation of all programmes, the estimated productivity required for each activity is determined and resources allocated to this. Actual performance is measured against the planned on a weekly basis and analyzed to determine the cause of probable reduction in performance or delays. This is done for all activities. The planned production is determined using the schedule and a workbook developed to continuously update all progress by updating the actual production.
  8. Two, four and six week look-a-heads are continuously extracted from the main programme. These will then be expanded (steps indicated to include client interface) to further detail the allocated resources usage, responsibilities, contractual requirements etc. At this stage actual supervisory individuals and Plant are identified.
  9. Generally, after the preparation of the Main programme, planned productivity tables are prepared (usually summarized to the desired level of the WBS). This is used as the baseline for weekly reports, adding, tabulating and producing charts with the actual work completed. The actual resource, management are also tabulated to determine the actual resource utilized in the execution of these works. Summaries are produced on a weekly basis using weighted percentages.

  1. All projects are resource and cost loaded. General tracking reports generated by the software are usually produced; in addition customized reports are produced using excel.
  2. Initially programmes are properly structured so as to allow for the addition of Delay Events and Change Orders without modifying the baseline. The impact of these can be determined at any time. In addition, impact of productivity increases or reduction may also be determined.
  3. Over the past 18 years, I was involved in the day to day planning as a site engineer to developing master plans for both tender and construction using MS Projects, Sure Trak and P3/P5/P6. This emphasised the need for good construction planning, as a fundamental and challenging activity in the management and execution of projects. My extensive experience helped with the selection of technology, the definition of work tasks, the estimation of the required resources and durations for individual tasks, and the identification of any interactions among the different work tasks. My hands on knowledge of most mechanical and electrical activities (including most statuary and testing requirements)helped me with the successful planning of the interface of these items with the general projects
  4. I have extensive experience in this field, as both a consultant and contractor.
  5. My responsibility under the TCI and several other projects included the chairing of weekly co-ordination meetings with all contractors and trades. My prepared analysis and impact effect allowed me to emphasize priorities and desired co-ordination efforts and personnel required to successfully execute the works.
  6. For the post few years I have worked without direct supervision.
