Nuvia November 2012 – May 2014 PLANNING MANAGER (Nuclear Design)
• Lead Design Planning Engineer working on the SDP Plant at Sellafield. Joined the ‘team’ to lead the existing ‘area design planners’, introducing standards and QA into the existing operations.
• Appointed Planning Manager after 3 months, due to the quality and self-initiatives that I had already incorporated into the planning function.
• Developed and introduced a mechanism to capture EV at a deliverable level, which is used to employ corrective measures within the design team, the use of Primavera Steps being a key change.
• Development of an Alliance Schedule for the preliminary design phase of SDP, incorporating client, technical, and sub-contract schedules into an overall programme.
• Interface closely with client on reporting, forecasting and all schedule implications.
• Software Used: Primavera Project Manager P6.2, Microsoft Project 2007, COINS (cost system)
