Over 9 years, I have been working for Honeywell. Currently I am a Project Controls Manager of Korea Operations. As for the Project Controls Manager, I review overall on going projects with Directors from Global as well as management office in local. Since I am an expert of Project Controls for both of schedule and costs, I identify risks and find out how to solve or mitigate them, which means I am able to see structure and root causes very quickly from project management stand points. Self learning is one of my strong points; by self learning I became best scheduler all over Asia Pacific region regarding Primavera scheduling techniques. When my position changed to manager level, Asian Pacific Operations Director, Dan Simpson, wrote recommendations stating that I am the best scheduler in Asian Pacific.
One of valuable experience of entire my career is Indian Operations Audit. As for the auditor, I did in-depth project Audit. I reviewed every details of project. One of lessons learned of that experience is quality itself is really important, but at the same time document which proves the quality is equally important too, so I make sure that I have to persuade every single stake holder by giving him or her confidence of quality with tangible deliverables and documents in daily business.
Even though I am project oriented person. My finance back-ground make me think big business picture. Just like every project deliverable is component of projects, each project is a component of whole business portfolio. I believe I can see big picture of business and everything is straightforward to me, so that’s the way I accomplish the objective.
