· Develop and enforce budgetary cost and scheduling guidelines for large Rail, Mine and Road construction projects
· Monitor and review project schedules with budget/cost estimates for all green/brown field growth projects globally
· Establish cost and project schedule reporting/tracking systems
· Conducting monthly project analysis and develop potential mitigation plans (Capex spend vs. budget, schedule progress against milestones).
· Maintained $2B Capex budget spend for 2012
· Global travel to all mining construction project locations and ensure what is being reported is correct.
· Supported challenging local projects and proposed technical solutions taking into consideration both financial/cost and schedule optimization
· Providing strategic direction to project teams in controlling, planning and economic/value management to ensure consistency across all construction projects
