I work with a small team at INNOVA (www.innova-eu.com) on European Horizon 2020 and FP7 projects . The clients I deal with are consortia of academic and industrial partners, between five and twenty entities. I work on the aspects relative to project management, communication, dissemination, and commercialization. Those are ubiquitous to all the projects, which is great because I can work with a lot of experts in a variety of technical fields!
In practice, it is a lot of writing and a lot of talking. Some of the things I do directly are:
- Write project proposals and supporting documents
- Technical and financial reporting to the European Commission
- Communication and dissemination plan (e.g. website, communication material, events)
- Data management plan (FAIR data)
- Business plan, consortium agreement, and exploitation agreement
- Pitch projects
