With my 20 years of international work experience and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering, I strongly believe that I could be of value to your organization. I am presently working with San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) $4.3B Water System Improvement Program as a Project Controls Engineer. Prior to joining SFPUC, I was a Contracts Specialist for a company engaged in providing construction management services to the Florida Department of Transportation. My other previous work experience ranges from executing Project Controls platforms on a regional level in Asia and Latin America to applying traditional cost and schedule methodologies to hundred-million dollar range projects. Specifically, high profile projects such as the $650M Miami International Airport Expansion by Parsons-Odebrecht; the billion dollar submarine and terrestrial network in Latin owned by a “carrier’s carrier”, Global Crossing; the construction from bottom up of a nationwide mobile phone network for two operators in Australia; and, the Lucent Technologies’ initiative to manage the combined manpower resources of Asian countries as a “resource pool” for ongoing and anticipated projects in the Asian region.
Nearly half of my career was spent on field operations that include managing field engineers, supervising subcontractors, work documentation, and even performed field surveying functions. I believe that that gave a stable foundation to my project controls skills as my opinions and implementations are leaning on “real world” work experience.
