Daily Construction Report

Hello

Based on my five years of experience in Planning and Scheduling, I understand that the Daily Construction Report is primarily submitted for information and record purposes. It serves as a factual record of daily site activities, manpower, equipment, progress, site conditions, and other relevant project information.

Unlike shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, or other technical documents requiring approval, the Daily Construction Report is generally not considered an approval document. Therefore, we respectfully request that any review comments be limited to factual corrections, missing required information, or items specifically required under the contract.

We have also noted that some recent consultant comments appear to be subjective in nature, which may not be aligned with the intended purpose of the Daily Construction Report as a record document submitted for information.

Furthermore, as stated in the project contract, the Daily Construction Report is required to be submitted in PDF format. However, i don't understand why the Consultant is requesting hard copies for signature. In this regard, Am i obligated to follow what the Consultant requesting when its not contractually obligated?
