Planning Planet (PP) the worlds’ largest online community of Planners and Project Controllers has entered into an Agreement with Oracle.
This is an important step in the ongoing development of Planning Planet as the site opens up to Corporate Subscribers who contribute to the community from an employer, supplier or recruitment perspective. Ensuring success in this new venture, PP has uniquely implemented an account management structure to agree and deliver subscribers goals from the site.
Investment has also been made to the website itself: new server maintenance, quality reporting tools, more pages, features and a new image are being implemented over time.
Planning Planet will send invitations on behalf of Oracle for members to attend various Project Portfolio Management related and industry specific seminars and events internationally (excluding currently the US) as well as online. In return, Planning Planet benefits from networking opportunities, a blog presence on the web-site, webinars and increased awareness from a software vendor that supplies approximately 80% of our community.
Planning Planet founder, James Williams states, ‘PP has been in existence 10 years, has over 30,000 individual members and needed to develop into the corporate market. Oracle have shown a truly innovative spirit in supporting us and I see the move of equal benefit to both parties, especially in view of developing an Accreditation Process for Planners and Project Controllers - knowledge of the Primavera platform is an integral part of an Accreditation Process the subject most dear to Planning Planet itself. Our members now have unique access to the most popular software vendor in our community where they can improve their utilisation and product knowledge. Primavera is now incorporated with a global player in Oracle and become part of an Enterprise PPM solution; it is crucial for our members to appreciate this new message.’
Oracle will also provide a member for the Board of Advisors, the group of high profile individuals that police Planning Planet.
