Planning Engineer / Engineer moving into Planning
Building & Civil Engineering, you will develop and implement project solutions, record progress and set the course for the delivery of an extensive range of engineering, build and construction projects, across the Republic and Northern Ireland.
The planning function is key to the success of their projects - planning and sequencing the permanent works, logistics and temporary works phasing, engaging our project teams in BIM and assisting with development of the cost plan.
This position will give you the opportunity to work across multiple projects- both pre-construction and live. Based from the Dublin office (with travel to sites across Ireland), this is a newly created position that will see you working alongside their Project Managers, Engineers and Supervisors, gaining vital experience of all roles within the construction process. In addition, you will work closely with Design and Operational teams, as well as the commercial function who will help to ensure cost controls are in place and monitored.
About You:
You will have robust Engineering (site-based) experience, preferably at a Senior Engineer level and on residential housing/developer and/or civils projects. Whilst previous planning experience is not essential, you will have sound knowledge of construction methodologies and have produced short term programmes.
Training and support will be provided, to enable you to independently plan works for tenders, progress mark-ups, resource loading and advise projects on where to gain betterment on a project programme. You will also contribute to project reporting using KPIs centred on production rates and outputs.
