Q4 is seeking an experienced Project Control Specialist to provide centralized planning and scheduling for projects and the facility. The Project Control Specialist will develop, implement and maintain schedules and cost controls and provide reports of project schedule and budget status. The ideal candidate will be well-organized with the ability to see both big picture and details with the ability to multi-task. Specific duties include:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with the each Project Manager and Company management to determine project objectives and develop a comprehensive project plan.
- Integrate various individual project schedules into a facility master schedule.
- Outline project requirements and assign tasks to teams in various departments.
- Manage the budgeting and cost management of each project.
- Interface with the Procurement, Engineering and Finance Departments; develop and maintain a detailed cost control system.
- Perform analytical reviews and checks of cost reporting documentation, and present cost status and forecast updates to Project Management.
- Establish a schedule for each project and monitor progress.
- Analyze, evaluate and forecast the current project status against the baseline schedule, assess the impacts of design or production changes to the schedule; report the status of schedule adherence to appropriate project and Company management.
- Alongside the Project Manager, coordinate all work on the project, ensuring that objectives are met within budget.
- Monitor project progress and identify any potential and critical issues.
- Work with the teams and Project Manager to recommend recovery plans, and update the schedule and budget accordingly.
- Forecast the required resources and track the availability of the resources on a real time basis to ensure the smooth progress of each project and overall facility support.
- Provide vital inputs to daily and periodic project progress and status reports to top management and other stakeholders.
- Monitor, track and report project cash flow.
- Plan and prepare man-hour budgets, and schedules.
REQUIREMENTS
- 7 or more years of related experience.
- 3 or more years' experience in a small business environment.
- 3 or more years' experience using Microsoft Project software.
- Associate's Degree in Project Management or a related discipline or an equivalent amount of experience and education.
- Experience in the identification, monitoring and reporting of project risks.
- Experience working with project management plans and plans, specifications and estimates.
- Detailed understanding of cost reporting and scheduling techniques.
- Expert skills in Microsoft Project; able to develop, modify, create reports and analyze detailed schedules in MS Project, including, the ability to prepare and manage Integrated Master Schedules.
- Able to communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
