Our Infrastructure Projects (IP) team is responsible for the efficient delivery of renewals and enhancements to the rail infrastructure through improved specification, better utilisation of resources and the professional control and management of projects. Their mission? To deliver on our commitment for the future by providing increased efficiency and value for money.

This exciting role is part of the Signalling project delivery team based in Scotland delivering circa £220m in the next 3 years of renewals and enhancement work with the Scotland region in the Control Period 5. The Programme Controls Manager is a key member of the delivery programme to provide guidance, governance and quality in project planning and document control. The role will discuss with internal and external stakeholders to identify critical project programme risks and resource requirements within the portfolio of projects. In addition, you’ll support the production of timely project planning updates and periodic reports and, critically, work with others to identify and deliver efficiency benefits.

The position will be responsible for managing change control with the Signalling client this will be involved the interfacing of customers, business process and governance. Ideally, you’re experienced in planning of significant complex projects within Primavera and have practised the reporting of Earned Value throughout the project deliver cycle. Programme Controls aware, implementing all appropriate processes, proven negotiation, influencing and interpersonal skills at all levels are also key for the role. Adept at applying programme/project methodologies, any understanding of Signalling and the railway environment would be an advantage.
