Our client is a leading Engineering group part of an international consortium responsible for the Design and Construction of a Major Rail / Metro project in Saudi Arabia.

A great opportunity has arisen for a Senior Scheduling Manager within the Project Management Office team for the whole project.

Senior Scheduling Managerwill be working within a friendly team of expats from UK, Europe, Australia, North America, Middle East, etc.

Role & Responsibilities

1.     Coordinate with Entity Planning teams to manage and develop the Master Programme  for the project utilizing WBS, resource and cost loading principles

2.     Manage the progress of the project and immediately report any major deviations, issues or delays through the organizational hierarchy for the purpose of notifying the Consortium

3.     The Senior Scheduling Manager will be responsible for monitoring, reporting and trending of project cost and schedule activities through all phases of the project

4.     Work closely with and assist the Planning Manager in developing and implementing a project controls plan (cost, schedule, deliverables)

5.     Ensure that the Consortium Planning Procedures are correctly implemented by the Entity Planning teams in their Work Programmes

6.     Monitor potential cost and schedule variances and recommend corrective actions

7.     Set up and configure in-house software tools  and systems to gather data and monitor progress against plan throughout the project

8.     Perform Risk Analysis using Pert Master (If requested)

9.     Prepare monthly or as needed Earned Value reports

10.  Participate in the preparation of monthly progress reporting through thematic scheduling reports

Minimum Qualifications

1.    Bachelors or Masters Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent.

2.    Minimum 10-15years of project scheduling experience on major construction projects including cost & schedule management, progress measurement

3.    Competence in the Project Management practices and techniques.

4.    Proficient with Primavera P6, Tilos, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office

5.    Knowledge of industry standard methods and tools regarding Project Management.

6.    Countries of experience: UK, Europe, USA, Canada, Australia, Qatar, Doha, Saudi Arabia (Riyadh, Jeddah), UAE, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Oman

Package and work conditions:

-       Package: £158,000 per year all inclusive (transport and accommodation allowance included in this figure). Healthcare cover provided by company.

-       Working time: 6 days a week (at 10 hours per day).

-       Annual paid leave: 44 working days per year + public holidays
