Senior Planner / Scheduler, Ship maintenance, Shipbuilding, Jeddah Saudi Arabia

 

Our client is a fast growing international project management firm active in various infrastructure engineering sectors.

The are currently looking for a Senior Planner / Scheduler to work on a major naval and ship maintenance contract. The work will be based in the Shipyard / Dockyard of of one Saudi Arabia main Coastal city, Jeddah.

PROJECT & JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Our client has been appointed to carry out:

1) The life extension programme of 4 frigates and 2 oilers. This programme lasts for 63 months and is divided in 2 phases. It consists in conducting Through Life Support (TLS) works and structure-giving modernization.

2) The intermediate maintenance programme 3. This programme lasts for 36 months. It consists in conducting TLS works and managing some obsolescence.

 

The assignment includes the on-site set-up and follow-up of all the detailed schedules of level 3 maintenance periods:

 

A) During the preparation phase of the various maintenance periods and from the ships reference schedules and the experience feedback gained during the previous maintenance periods, involvement in setting up detailed schedules of the maintenance periods.

 

B) During the various maintenance periods performance phase, follow-up of the ships detailed schedules:

·         Collection of information from the various actors of the projects present at the shipyard

·         Support to the various project stakeholders in implementing the production schedules (level 4 and above) to:

·         Support to shipyard coordination

·         Updating of maintenance periods detailed schedules:

·         Participation in the follow-up of reporting and time-limit indicators.

·         Availability of the planning elements in the local Information System in Saudi Arabia.

 

The size of each schedule above is comprised between 1000 and 2000 lines and is developed with the software Microsoft Project 2010.

 

PACKAGE:

 

Expatriation package comprising Accommodation (hotel or compound) vehicle and secure mobile phone.

Salary: $10,000 per month tax free.

Job duration: 2 years or more

 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

 

·         5+ years minimum experience in Planning and Scheduling in naval construction, shipbuilding, Navy Maintenance, shipyard, Dockyard, Marine maintenance, Oil & Gas or similar industries

·         Very good English

·         Proficient in the use of Microsoft Project 2010
