JOB DESCRIPTION
A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Production Planner to assist them in the execution, planning and delivery of projects across the group. Our client is the largest in its sector with a turnover in excess of £180 million, operating throughout the UK with numerous sites across Scotland, England and Wales.
Reporting to the Group Project Manager, the Production Planners primary focus is to provide finished products, on schedule, to dispatch to the companies wholesale customers. Day to day this will involve, but will not be limited to -
Maintaining and establishing relationships with the production and internal sales departments
Responsible for planning the production to minimise inventory
Ensure sufficient product availability to continually meet customer demands
maintain accurate inventory records
As a Production Planner you will be capable of -
Playing a key role in the development and improvement of current and new sales/planning procedures
Showing confidence within a planning/sales based environment with a proven track record
Motivating and leading your team to achieve targets
Preparing for a fast paced and challenging role working to deadlines and showing initiative
