Senior Planning Engineer (Bridges/Tunnels)Job DescriptionA Senior Planning Engineer with experience working in the Middle East region is required to join a global consultancy to work on an exciting civils project based in Qatar.Duties and responsibilities Duties will include: • Reporting to the Resident Engineer. • Monitoring and reporting on the project programme and contractor progress.• Report to the Senior Resident Engineer • Be responsible for all aspects of the planning and programming of the work • Be responsible for the compilation of the monthly reports • Check and monitor the contractors programmes • Prepare reports • Work with the Senior Quantity Surveyor on claims and the assessments of any extensions of time.  Experience required• Degree qualified to a minimum of BSc, BEng, BA or equivalent and chartered status.• Extensive experience similar to this project/role, regional experience is preferred.• Experience in claims/arbitration procedures and methods are required.• Experience in the planning of major projects.• Computer literacy and excellent communication skills are essential.    Company overview The successful candidate will be joining a well established consultancy specialising in building, transportation and Infrastructure projects.  The role provides excellent long term career progression opportunities.
