PROJECT CONTROLS DIRECTOR, QATAR, UAE, SALARY CIRCA 65,000QAR
We are currently supporting a leading global consultancy that provides a broad range of project management, planning and project controls services to the construction, civil engineering and energy sectors globally.
This large scale multi disciplinary business is currently building a substantial operation in the Middle East with a focus on Qatar. It is currently very busy in the region and has recently been awarded a contract to oversee and delivery a major infrastructure development of national importance.
We are looking to identify a Project Controls Director to cover this and other major civil engineering projects inc Bridges, Roads, Rail, Tunnels.
Responsibilities:
- Providing active leadership to the team working on the project.
- Delivering the functional role of Project Controls Director on the project on behalf of the Client.
- Part of the Project’s Senior Management Team.
- Developing and implementing the Project Execution Plan.
- Design, develop, implement and update a communications plan and financial frameworks.
- Implementing Governance.
- Establishing baseline budgets and schedules.
- Identify, register, analyse, track, control and influence major project risks.
- Manage the change process and change control of all contract documentation.
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering is preferred, but not essential.
- Professional Project Management Qualification.
- Requirement of at least 15 years of experience of implementing and managing project controls teams and PMO’s on major large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Project experience to include at least one of the following, rail, bridges, tunnels, highways.
- Proven track record of working on major programmes of work from inception to completion.
- Extensive experience of implementing and managing project controls teams.
