An opportunity has arisen for a Project Planner to join our Metro & Rail Projects business working on P-Way construction and light rail projects.
Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, key duties will include:
- Providing project planning support to Bid Managers, Project Managers and their teams.
- Ensuring that all clients’ tender and contractual requirements are understood and complied with in relation to project planning, resource planning and progress reporting.
- Ensure the project plans for assigned contracts accurately reflect the technical workscope for the projects.
- Provide forward resource requirements for each of the projects.
Acting as a key link between Project Managers and operational teams, you will be responsible for highlighting issues, providing solutions to problems and reporting on a set of key performance indicators.
To be considered for the role, you will need to demonstrate significant experience in a planning role, gained within the rail industry ideally within P-Way or Civil Engineering disciplines.
In addition, you will also possess the following;
- Expertise in using Primavera P6, as well as being a competent user of Microsoft Project, Word, Excel and Power Point.
- HNC or equivalent in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
- A measured and well organised approach to your work.
- Confident communication skills, both in writing and in internal and external correspondence.
- A positive and enthusiastic approach to challenges and problems.
- The ability to manage work to meet varying deadlines.
