Senior Planner – London – Construction – Asta Powerproject – Commercial/Education – Permanent – Salary up to £75,000.
This requirement is for an experienced planning engineer to join a buoyant and busy, growing planning team in Central London with a leading and highly reputable main contractor. The position has arisen due to a high increase in workload and a desire to grow the current team. They work on projects up to £70 million in value and that include schools, academies, universities, hospitals, factories, hotels, retail developments and commercial offices.
The position:
· Hands on construction planning
· Tender and site
· Asta Powerproject
· Juggling numerous live projects worth in value up to £50 million based on current workload
· Client liaison
· Site travel
· Assisting with recruitment and team management
· Some earned value management
· Involvement with BIM
· Advising contract teams on planning related processes

Candidate specification:
· A relevant qualification, degree or masters preferred
· Ideally some site management or project management experience
· 7 years minimum UK main contracting, planning experience (ESSENTIAL)
· Experience working on similar projects to those listed above
· Strong skills using Asta Powerproject software and the ability to assist with training junior team members on the package
· Hand on tender and site planning experience, will be happy to get stuck in and not sit on the side lines trying to delegate
· Will have a competitive edge and hardworking attitude, a personable character is also essential
· Will live within a good commute of Central London and be happy to travel between sites
· Experience juggling multiple live projects and tenders at any one period of time
· Will be highly career motivated and keen to offer longevity and grow with the business
