Senior Tender Planner, Construction

Senior Planning Engineer is required by a leading main contractor based in Glasgow to join their operations in Scotland. My client has an enviable order book and due to recent project wins they require a Senior Planning Engineer to bolster their current planning capabilities.

The Senior Planning Engineer will report directly into the Planning Manager and work within their bid team and be responsible for producing competitive tender submissions for a portfolio or projects including construction and refurbishment schemes varying in value up to circa £150m. The role will be predominantly office based working on bids but the Senior Planner will also be required to support live projects from time to time.

Candidate Requirements

·        Strong knowledge of construction techniques and processes.

·        A successful track record of working within a main contractors tender team.

·        Good working knowledge of planning software packages.

·        Ability to produce resource calculations, method statements etc.

·        First class communication skills both written and verbal.

·        Ability to work independently.

On offer is a basic salary between £45-55,000 per annum (depending upon experience) plus a main contractor’s benefits package including car or car allowance, pension, healthcare, bonus etc.
