Planning Engineer – Permanent – Primavera P6 – Civils/Utilities – South Wales – Main contractor – Salary up to £50,000 + package.
A leading main contractor is on the lookout for an intermediate planner to work as part of a large on a water framework worth in total around £170 million. The work is highly civils biased and will focus on fitting pipework to roads in Wales and installing pumping stations.
The position would entail:
- Tender and site planning
- Pricing of new works
- Price drawings
- Primavera P6 reporting
- Build construction schedule
- Liaising with client and other planners working on the framework
- Offering contractual advice to project managers and others within the site team
Candidate specification:
- A relevant degree or masters in civil engineering
- A minimum of 5 years planning experience for a UK civils contractor
- Will have held site engineer or project management roles before moving into planning (desired but not essential)
- Will be expert users of Primavera P6 software
- Strong programming/scheduling experience
- A mixture of tender and site planning skills
- Will ideally have worked on pipeworks and water projects
- Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence as this role would entail site visits
- Applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK. Applicants who are not residents of the UK will not be considered due to urgency of this role.
