JOB DESCRIPTION We are looking for two Planning Engineers to work within our client's office in Cleveland.We invite planning engineers at all levels from within the Industry to apply for this opportunity to join their rapidly expanding team. The planning team supports project teams working at various high profile client sites based in Northern England and Scotland. This position involves supporting their efforts in bidding and delivering major industrial projects primarily of an oil and gas or decommissioning nature. You will be working on high value, strategically important projects which are high profile within the client organisations. By the very nature of the size of the projects you will be expected to manage planning and scheduling activities on site for the client and form part of a team approach to project delivery. This is a strategic position within the business, and we consider that this role offers substantial advancement opportunities for the right candidate. RESPONSIBILITIES Develop the existing project control systems of one of our major industrial clients to incorporate best practice and procedures.Provide/implement high quality planning and scheduling standards and expertise to Project Managers on projects.Ensure the implementation of the client’s project controls procedures on projects in the areas of planning, resourcing, progress measurement, earned value analysis, completion forecasting and status reporting.Ensure integration of project control procedures into the project delivery process.Provide expert advice including daily, weekly or monthly status updates.Production of monthly planning reports, resource updates and projections.Production of ad hoc reports informing the Project Manager of significant schedule impacts and their effect on progress and completion.Prepare and manage regular planning and progress meetings including assigning actions and resolving issues. REQUIREMENTS Hold a recognised diploma or degree or be qualified by experience.Be an expert all aspects of planning and scheduling in Primavera products. Experience of the Industry Sector, ideally Energy or UtilitiesBroad understanding of Risk Analysis.Able to both accept and delegate responsibility and influence and lead a team.Flexible to be office or site based according to the needs of the business and client.Effective client interface skills and experience with the ability to offer both strategic and project advice.Good report writing and presentation skills.Good IT skills and the ability to operate Microsoft Office as a minimum.
