Urgent – Permanent Planning Engineer or Senior Planner – Midlands – Water/Utilities – Leading Main Contractor – Primavera P6 – Salary up to £50,000 + package – Gold Group Ltd.
This position is for a leading main contractor with an order book worth close to £3billion in value. The role will be based in the midlands with some travel and has arisen due to a high increase in workload and a desire to grow an already substantial in size and dynamic team. They work on projects across the construction, highways, rail, energy and utilities industries. Projects range in value from £1million to £200 million. As a business they have one of the lowest staff turnover rates in the UK contracting market.
The position:
- Tender and site based planning out of offices in Birmingham, Warwickshire and Leicestershire
- Programming, earned value management/analysis, keeping up to date schedule plan, client liaison, weekly reporting, assisting with master programme/plan
- Making sure that health and safety regulations are adhered to
- Daily use of Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 software
- Mentoring and management of junior team members
- Water/waste water/water treatment works for a large framework
The candidate:
- Minimum of 3.5 years planning experience for a UK contractor
- Water or waste water project experience is essential for this role
- A relevant degree or qualification is required for this position
- Tender and site planning experience in a water function
- Coupled with planning some experience in site or project management would be beneficial
- Will be competent users of Microsoft Project and Primavera P6
- Asta Powerproject experience is desired but not essential
- Will be organised, highly motivated and show employment longevity on CV
- Will hold a full UK driving licence and be a resident in the UK
This position offers a competitive salary of up to £50,000 + package, circa £5,500 per anum or a company car, paid travel, subsidised health care and dental, good pension and bonus scheme.
