As part of AMEC's ongoing strategy to constantly appoint and develop Talent within the business we are currently seeking to appoint Senior Planning Engineers to join AMEC on a permanent or contractual basis for an offshore project in the Detailed Design phase.

This is your opportunity to make an impression and to propel your career to the very top.

ROLE:

Responsible for the overall planning, development and monitoring of a section of an offshore project in the Detailed Design phase.

PROJECT:

As part of AMEC’s strategy to access the Norwegian market, AMEC Greenfield has signed a collaboration agreement with Aibel AS. This agreement will allow AMEC and Aibel to work in partnership to deliver the Topsides for the offshore project ‘Dagny’, which will become one of the largest construction projects on the Norwegian continental shelf since Gudrun.

Dagny is an oil and gas field located north of Sleipner West in the North Sea. Gas was originally found in the field in the 1970s. The concept for a possible field development, with a 16,000 tone fixed platform and an oil tanker for offshore storage is now out for EPC tender following the completion of the Topsides FEED (Front End Engineering Design) study by Aibel.

The partnership will see AMEC and Aibel form an integrated team, providing EPCH (engineering, procurement, construction and hook-up) expertise from the Detailed Design phase right through to completion in 2016. The detail design and procurement activities will be executed out of AMEC’s London offices.

Norway is one of the largest offshore markets in the world and, as such, will have one of the largest global capex spends over the next 10 years.
