Planning Engineer – Civils Engineering - Change planning - London, Central – Long term contract
Logmor Projects International Limited is searching for a senior planner that will report to the planning manager & lead the creation of a Change Event Programme under the NEC3 Option C contract arrangement. The position requires the production of programmes to show the effect of change to the contract scope and its effect on the overall project programme.
This opportunity is for a planner that has 10 years of civil experience, a detailed working knowledge of the NEC3 contract, excellent communication & leadership skills with the ability to liaise with the project construction & commercial teams to tease out information, and must have a minimum of 5 years Primavera experience.
The successful Planner will be responsible for : Reviewing change events e.g. Notified Compensation Event (NCE) or Project Manager’s Instruction (PMI), Lead meetings with engineering, construction, commercial staff to produce change event programmes, Update the current programme to include the effects of change events with reference to the relevant NCE or Early Warning Notice (EWN) following the Change Control procedure, Ensure the change event programmes are loaded with the correct level of staff, labour plant and material, Attend risk review meetings where EWNs are discussed, Make regular site visits to assist site teams with planning matters where change is relevant, Liaise and Co-ordinate with the cost planner and commercial department to support the implementation of agreed change into the baseline, Support the production of quotations and tenders, Maintain planning change register to include summary of change effects, Review change events and agree allocation of correct WBS in conjunction with construction team, planning and commercial departments, To be responsible for maintaining the JV’s entitlement for extensions of time, and support the project team in project planning and change management best practice.
Our client is looking for a Planner that is degree educated or HNC / HND (Construction related) or NVQ Level 1/2, can demonstrate knowledge and practical application of planning and construction activities, is computer literate. (Proficient in the use of Primavera P6 planning software) has Knowledge & Experience of NEC form of contract & carries an updated Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card.
