Senior Construction Planning Consultant – London
Senior Planning Consultant is currently required by an International Consultancy that is highly regarded for expertise they provide to a range of markets. The Senior Planning Consultant is required to work in the Specialist Consultancy Services team of the program, cost and consultancy business line based in London.
Responsibilities
· Supervision of the planning function on a program or large project (typically £50m to £200m +) or a number of smaller projects at the same time.
· Responsible for all aspects of planning on a major project, including the preparation and implementation of work processes and procedures and the selection of appropriate support systems.
· Provide support to the development of junior staff as directed by the business.
· Review of contractor’s programmes; provision of forensic planning service as required.
· Client management, identification of problems to service delivery and design/implementation of solutions.
· Assistance in the development of new service offerings.
Candidate Requirements
· A Senior Construction Planning Consultant, preferably with a degree in engineering, business applied sciences or equivalent; professional qualification desirable but not essential.
· Firsthand experience of leading the planning/project controls function on construction related projects.
· Experience of construction projects at all stages of their development, including design and pre-construction.
· At least five to twelve years relevant project experience in a planning/project control environment, although we will look at candidates with less experience provided this experience to date is sufficiently relevantFirst class communication skills.
· A good working knowledge of Primavera 3.1 would be a minimum expectation, preferably P6 version 7, and/or Asta Powerproject.
· An enthusiastic, creative, client facing individual to be involved in all types of development within an exciting team environment.
· Capable of making independent studies, analyses, interpretations and conclusions, setting standards for others to follow.
