Company/project: Top 10 contractor operating in the Rail sector on a national basis have an urgent requirement for a Senior Planner on a major project in the Midlands.
Essential skills/experience: Due to an increase in workload a Senior Planner is required to join a busy team on a 3-6 month freelance basis. As an experienced Planner you will be used to development of detailed working programme covering design and approvals, procurement and construction activities. Input will be provided by production team, current site-based planned, specialist designers and sub-contractors where possible. Responsbilities include development of detailed phasing plans to plan out and clearly illustrate logistics of project. You will have previous experience with projects in the region of £500m+ and will have at least 10 years main contractor experience.
Role/duties: You will report into the Planning Manager for this project and manage large sections of the job autonomously and through the full construction process.
Qualifications: Degree or similar technical qualification in Civil Engineering, excellent IT skills, use of AUTOCAD preferred (phasing plans). Rail experience/ possession planning knowledge essential.
