This new position has been created with a well-established firm of cost and project management consultants.  The combination of a growing workload, repeat commissions and expansion plans mean that an opportunity now exists for a Forensic Planning Specialist to join them at a senior level.  The company provides expert advice to companies contemplating or undertaking claims against contractors for building works which have run over schedule – and equally to companies which are subject to claims themselves as being responsible for delays.

The role will see you undertake all levels of forensic planning and extension of time consultancy, from initial investigative work and report writing through to the provision of Expert Witness advice to construction courts.  The projects all relate to buildings construction of various types, and across a range of sectors.  It’s a role which calls for the highest levels of construction experience, analytical skills, and oral & written presentational ability.

To be considered for the position, you MUST:

-    Be able to demonstrate experience of Expert Witness-level forensic planning skills;

-    Have a strong track record in the UK building sector;

-    Possess excellent client-facing and interpersonal skills.

You will almost certainly be educated to degree-level or beyond, and very likely hold an RICS, MCIOB, MArb. or other relevant post-graduate qualification.

In return, you will be rewarded with a salary in the range of £75k - £100k + senior level benefits package.  For the right candidate, there are also excellent prospects for promotion and a career path ahead.
