Planner or Senior Planner x2, Permanent, Hampshire, Defence, MSP/P6/SAP, Salary up to £60,000 + package. GOLD GROUP

The client: A major defence contractor that specialises in aerospace, safety critical projects (maintenance, refurbishment, new build).

The role:

• Create and maintain project schedules
• Create work breakdown structure that meets requirements tech of the projects
• Evaluate progress and measure against the project schedule
• Risk management
• Analyse cost
• Analyse critical path and problems and report them to the project manager
• Create and maintain project plans
• Offer planning advice to site team and report to the PM
• Lead informal meeting with the project team and package manager

The candidate:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a planning engineer
• Must have worked on a defence or safety critical project
• Must have held a UK passport for a minimum of 5 years as security clearance is required for this project
• Site and tender planning experience
• Good attitude, must have the confidence to question PM on decisions you don’t agree with etc
• Recognised qualification
• Experience using Primavera P6
• Must have use Microsoft Project/MSP/MS Project
• SAP project planning experience
• Strong analytical skills and good attention to detail
