Senior Planning Engineer, Construction, Asta Powerproject, Permanent, West Midlands/Birmingham, Salary up to £54,000 + package. GOLD GROUP
The client: Leading UK main contractor, top 10, construction projects across commercial, retail, education, health, leisure, industrial, projects range in value up to £100 million. This organisation has been operating for over 100 years, has a low staff turnover, a group ethic, share work among offices, has grown throughout the recession and is incredibly stable. The role:
- Pre contract and contract planning engineering (tender & site)
- Pre-construction planning reporting to the pre-construction director
- Production of tender programmes and tender deliverables
- Management of change events into the construction programme working with the commercial teams
- Create, update, maintain/manage construction programmes and communicate to both customers and project managers
- Programme management
- Use of Asta Powerproject
- Attending site visits within the Midlands region
- Mentoring and management of junior members of staff
- Earned Value Management/Analysis
- Production of method statements
The candidate:
- Main contractor background
- Site and tender/bid planning experience
- Minimum of 5 years planning experience in a similar role
- Team player but must also be confident working on own initiative
- Strong user of Asta Powerproject and MS Project
- Through understanding of project management
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Experience working on multi-dimensional construction projects in both new build and refurbishment
- Earned Value Management understanding
- Full UK driving licence
- Must be eligible to live and work in the UK, visa sponsorship is NOT being offered at this time due to the urgency of the role
- Will be motivated and dedicated and offer longevity
On offer with this role is a competitive salary of between £40,000 and £54,000 + car allowance of £5,000, pension, health care, bonus & profit share, life insurance, education allowance and professional fees paid.
