The position is with a leading defence and aerospace contractor that employs over 8000 people across the UK. They have been operating for close to 100 years and have one of the UK construction market’s lowest staff turnover rates. On offer with these roles will be highly structured career development, sponsored education and the option of doing a degree or masters along with a competitive salary of up to £30,000 + package.
The position:
- Project Planning & Programming
- Assistance with Earned Value Management
- Summarising data through the programme
- Maintenance and development of a database to assist with outlining trends, earned value etc
- Development of critical path
- Provide support to project management and estimating professionals
- Assistance with risk and resource management
- Dealing with customer feedback and complaints and assisting with the improvement of current processes and procedures
- Use of Primavera P6, P3e and Ms Project/Microsoft Project
Applicants should hold the following:
- Civil Engineering, Defence, Nuclear or Construction Background
- Minimum 1 year working as an assistant planner, junior planner or project planner
- Relevant degree or qualification (Masters, Degree, HND, HNC)
- Experience in the use of Primavera P6 or Primavera P3e and Microsoft Project
- Knowledge of Earned Value Management/Analysis
- On site planning and programming experience
- Understanding of risk management and assessing potential hazards
- Would consider graduates who have taken a sandwich year
- Security Clearance is required at DV level for this role therefore candidates must have held a UK passport for a minimum of 5 years as well as a clean criminal record and must not have applied for bankruptcy in the past 5 years. Candidates who do not meet these requirements will not be considered.
